NAME

     webcap - view images from a frame grabber card over the net-
     work

SYNOPSIS

     webcap   [-vvisual] [-pportnumber] [-hhostname]

DESCRIPTION

     webcap is a client for webcamd and is a part  of  a  distri-
     buted  image gathering system.  webcap establishes a connec-
     tion to the server running on a  host  with  a  bt848  based
     frame grabber card and controls some of its features. webcap
     uses the XForms library.

OPTIONS

     -vvisual
          The visual visual is used on  X-displays  with  8  bits
          color depth.  Visual 0 is "256 gray level", visual 1 is
          "pseudo color" with a 9x5x5 GRB color cube.


     -hhostname
          Connects to the host hostname wich is supposed to  have
          the frame grabber card and a webcamd daemon running.


     -pportnumber
          Uses the port portnumber  to  connect  to  the  webcamd
          server.

ENVIRONMENT

     No environment variables are used

BUGS

     No  spaces  are  allowed  between  the  argument   and   the
     corresponding flag.

     The resize menu doesn't work because these functions  aren't
     implemented.   The  video  standard menu is coupled with the
     resize menu and doesn't work too.
